The Points System
The Points:
During each season we are racing for points that will lead to a Season Champion, Runner-Up, and several additional prize spots based on the final points standings at season's end.
Participants will be racing for first place and a chance to win a BIG trophy, a racing jacket and other goodies including products and services that our sponsors offer.
Points go with the DRIVER - not the car.
Pre-Season Points
Any driver who registers for the Annual Points Series at the FIRST race of the season will be awarded 10 bonus points towards his or her season total.
Staging Points
A driver will be awarded 10 points for arriving at the event and passing tech. You will be awarded another 10 points for showing up to the starting line for the first round. Basically, if you show up, pass tech, and stage your car, you get 20 points, win or lose. So, if we schedule 10 races and you show up for all 10 and lose in each of the first rounds, you will still earn 200 points for the season!
Win Points
The winner in each subsequent round will be awarded 10 points for that win. For example: if you win two elimination rounds, you will be awarded 40 points total for the day (20 for staging in the first round and an additional 20 for winning twice).
Full Series Points
Drivers that attend ALL of the season's events will be automatically awarded twenty (20) bonus points towards their season total.
