Fred Bruce from Exeter went five rounds in his '04 automatic coupe to take the A & A Corvette Specialties winner's trophy & gift certificate in a great final over the April 2004 WCCC winner Ron Stark. Ron took home the A & A Corvette Specialties sponsored runner-up trophy & gift certificate for his efforts. By the way, did I mention that Ron was driving his wife's White '94 'Vert this time around instead of his '82 coupe, which he won with in April. It seems that Ron found the '82 coupe with a puddle of anti-freeze beneath it the morning of the race. It was another great WCCC event final by both Fred & Ron.
Congratulations to semi-finalist Al Adams, who was the runner-up at Las Vegas for the May 2004 WCCC event. Al received a Simpson Racing sponsored semi-final round gift certificate for his efforts this month.
Rochelle Dowdell took home the
West Coast Corvettes
sponsored Best Reaction Time Trophy and gift certificate, awarded for the best RT of the first round of eliminations, with a 0.525 … unfortunately it launched her to a breakout run.
Congratulations also go out to the remaining first round winners: Dave Dowdell from Lancaster, Tom Houston from Bakersfield, Gerald Malcolm from Palmdale, Wayne Mancebo from Tulare, Henry Mynatt from Tracy, Javier Navarro from Camarillo, and Jack Sweet from Mission Viejo. Congratulations to Jack Sweet for the Low ET of the event with a 12.295 at 113.19 MPH in his Orange 76 Coupe. Dave Dowdell had the best RT of the time trials with a 0.504, earning the bye run in the first round of eliminations.
