Al, one of the original "dirty dozen" WCCC racers who hasn't raced with us for a while, came back to LACR and left with the A & A Corvette Specialties winner's trophy. Al is a very cool driver…unassuming and laid back, but can surely let you have it when he needs to! In the final round, Al raced Dave Dowdell, who had the day's best reaction time, but couldn't pull it off at the last light. Al's margin of victory was 0.016. At last, a C5 PREVAILS!!!
Dave Dowdell took home the West Coast Corvettes best reaction time trophy (2nd month in a row!) and the A & A Corvette Specialties runner-up trophy. Gary Combs was our semi-finalist, earning a Simpson Racing gift certificate.
We were very happy to see a lot of first-time racers who plan to be back in April…we look forward to racing with them again. Once again, Henry Mynatt made the trip from Sacramento to race with us…he says it beats being at home "vegging out." We agree!
The points standings are correct…despite what Dave Dowdell might want to think!!! One and two for the Dowdell crew!! (if that isn't trouble waiting to happen!)
